The 52 Week Challenge

And so it begins.

I have challenged myself to change my life in 52 weeks. Change my life in 52 weeks? That’s right, I am going to change myself, one step at a time.

Living a healthy, active life is not always easy in this society where we are constantly rushing to the next thing and where options on the road are rarely healthy.

With 1 small step each week for the next year, I am going to demonstrate how it so simple to improve your health.

I am a grazer and tend to eat throughout the day. This week, my challenge is to consume 1 protein shake everyday to ensure that I am consuming enough protein and fruit to provide the energy I need to sustain me throughout the day.  Stay tuned for suggested recipes.

The idea behind these mini challenges is that I will sustain each step throughout 2010. My blogs through the week  will communicate about my experiences with the change and what differences I experience along the way.

    What’s in the protein shake? Or is it the “pearlicious” recipe you have above? (Which sounds great btw) Any other protein you like besides hemp?

    Yes it is the same as pearlicious but with an apple instead.

    I forgot to mention in the post that I normally add a tbsp of multivitamin & a tbsp of an omega oil (I prefer Vega, Brendan Brazier’s line of products) however I need to go grocery shopping today :-)

    Great question! Yes I prefer hemp as a protein as it is completely pure, no additives, no heating in the process. Your body will absorb this protein far better than any animal product. I will blog more on protein for tomorrow’s topic.
